CHILD-BRIGHT is a national patient-oriented research (POR) network that focuses on creating brighter futures for children with brain-based developmental disabilities (BDD) across Canada. Our goal is to become a movement for change that equitably mobilizes and implements our research knowledge. In partnership with the Azrieli Foundation, we are recruiting a cohort of postdoctoral researchers to join our implementation science (IS) research projects and support programs aiming to mobilize knowledge in support of children with BDD and their families.
CHILD-BRIGHT is looking to fill the following postdoctoral positions. The initial appointments are for one year with the possibility of a one-year extension subject to performance and availability of funds. General Eligibility Requirements
In addition to the project-specific requirements listed in the postings, the applicant must:
Be based in Canada and have a PhD/MD degree (or hold the degree by the time the position is expected to start)
Have a track record indicating an ability to conduct scholarly work, prepare publications, and contribute to grant applications
Have a passion for supporting children with brain-based developmental disabilities and their families
Have a strong interest in realizing principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion within research teams and projects
Have experience and an interest in patient-oriented research
Have a research interest/background in pediatric brain-based developmental conditions
Have excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Have experience in knowledge mobilization and/or implementation science (an asset)
Be able to communicate in French (an asset)
General Award Details
Up to $50,000/year (1.0 FTE) for one year with the possibility of a one-year extension, subject to performance and availability of funds. Salaries will be negotiated with the supervisor as per the host institution’s policies. Depending on project needs, part-time appointments are permissible but will be adjusted proportionally to correspond to the FTE (e.g., $25,000 at 0.5 FTE).
CHILD-BRIGHT is a national network, and most positions have the potential to be conducted remotely. However, some projects may have location-specific requirements based on the research and the host institution’s policies.
