Study Recruitment Ambassador | Strongest Families Neurodevelopmental Program | Remote

Number of positions to fill: As many as possible

Intended for: Parents & Family Members, Education Professionals, Health Professionals, and Policy Makers

Description of role: We are looking for individuals interested in our study (from various stakeholder groups) to become Study Recruitment Ambassadors. Ambassadors would help promote our work to parents and family members of children aged 3 to 14 years old with a brain-based developmental disability. As part of this team, you may choose your level of engagement in the following tasks:

  1.  Sharing our posts on social media  

  2. Facilitating connections between study staff and your contacts

  3. Participating in events to promote the study

These tasks have variable time commitments and levels of engagement in which you can change at any time. Training is offered to all interested ambassadors and includes:

  1. Two short-video trainings; one that explains the intervention, and one that explains the study

  2. Written material that includes tips on sharing study information

  3. Recruitment materials for ambassadors to distribute

Engagement details and expected time commitment: The expected time commitment is flexible, depending on your level of engagement, starting June 10, 2019.

Compensation: Compensation will be provided to ambassadors for attending events on behalf of the study, and must be approved by the investigators.


  • Must be English speaking

Specific skills or experience that could be an asset:

  • Networking

  • Experience parenting a child with a brain-based developmental disability

  • Experience working with parents of a child with a brain-based developmental disability

  • Experience in research (e.g., research methodology, study recruitment)
